Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Procurement / Purchasing Analyst at NTT DATA, you will be an advanced subject matter expert responsible for analyzing market outlooks and determining when and what to buy when contracting with vendors. Your role will involve developing and implementing short-term to medium-term procurement strategies across all categories. You will serve as the liaison between the business and vendors, source and screen vendors, negotiate contracts, review requisitions, and advise on pricing and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the liaison between the business and vendors. - Source and screen vendors, negotiate contracts, and present deals to decision makers. - Review and process requisitions to ensure timely order submission and negotiate costs, delivery schedules, and contract terms. - Analyze documented comparative costs submitted by suppliers in the RFP process. - Advise on pricing and performance standards through contractual agreements with suppliers. - Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards. - Inspect and test samples of products and services of vendors, documenting features and benefits of each product to make the final purchasing decision. - Document costs for all assigned vendors and generate monthly cost reports for stakeholders. - Administer trends and market conditions, maintaining efficient flow of information for all materials. - Advise on and prepare recommendations on the design of cost savings programs and identify new suppliers. - Monitor order fulfillment against purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in cost-benefit analysis process. - Excellent negotiation skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with suppliers/vendors. - Broad knowledge of relevant quality standards related to products and services. - Strong organizational skills. - Ability to remain calm under stress and operate in a high-pressure environment. - Good communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, and reporting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
