What is it for you

Senior Solution Architect Performance Testing

Responsibilities: -

• Define and drive the Performance Engineering and Observability strategy across client engagements.
• Build and scale CoE offerings aligned with market trends, client needs, and digital transformation goals.
• Define roadmap, service catalog, reusable assets, and accelerators.
• Develop GTM strategies, tools partnerships, frameworks, and service offerings
• Manage CoE P&L, staffing, and skill upliftment initiatives.
• Establish best practices, training programs, and governance models for performance testing.
• Establish partnerships with performance/APM tool vendors (e.g.: LoadRunner, Automai)
• Govern and guide performance test planning, NFR validation, and bottleneck analysis.
• Design and review workload models, test data strategies, and performance optimization plans.
• Conduct performance assessments, capacity planning, scalability analysis, and APM integrations.
• Lead performance solutioning and estimation efforts in RFPs, POCs, and client proposals.
• Lead pre-sales for large deals, and build tailored solutions, demonstrations pricing, and proposals.
• Interact with customers to understand business and technical requirements, and propose tailored solutions.
• Build internal capabilities, train teams, and mentor engineers across performance and observability verticals.
• Drive knowledge sharing and internal evangelization through bootcamps, workshops, and playbooks.
• Build frameworks for observability using APM, logs, metrics, traces, SLOs, and alerting mechanisms.
• Implement monitoring solutions using Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and more.
• Integrate observability with performance engineering feedback loops and SRE practices.
• Define and manage SLI/SLO/SLA and incident response metrics.
• Conduct APM maturity assessments and RCA for production issues, deploy open-source and enterprise observability frameworks.
• Architect performance-driven Cloud migration strategies (AWS, Azure).
• Drive observability integration in Cloud-native and hybrid systems.
• Perform chaos and reliability testing, disaster recovery, and capacity analysis.
• Mentor and lead geographically distributed teams (onsite-offshore model).
• Conduct talent planning, training, and recruitment operations aligned to strategic goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, product teams, and client stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications: -

• Engineering Degree BE / ME / BTech / M Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc.
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
• Performance Engineering or Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure, Dynatrace, Datadog) are a plus.

Skills: -

Mandatory Technical Skills: -

• Over 15 years experience in performance testing and engineering, with at least 5 to7 years in leadership roles
• Expertise in tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, or K6
• Deep understanding of system architecture, web services (REST/SOAP), Microservices, and Cloud (AWS/Azure)
• Proficiency in APM tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics, and more
• Experience in capacity planning, scalability testing, tuning, and root cause analysis
• Proficiency in observability concepts, monitoring frameworks, and telemetry data handling
• Experience in CI/CD and integration of performance testing in DevOps pipelines (e.g.: Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Proven experience in creating thought leadership artifacts such as white papers, accelerators, maturity models
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills with exposure to client presentations
• Experience integrating test automation with performance testing (e.g.: Selenium + JMeter)
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and synthetic monitoring
• Experience in integrating test automation with performance testing (e.g.: Selenium + JMeter)
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP services, costing and Utilization
• Experience in DB and JVM Tuning: AWR, GC tuning, thread/heap dump analysis
• Proficiency in APIs and Integration: Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, Kafka, IBM MQ
• Experience in GenAI enablement in testing
• Ability to define vision, roadmap, and KPIs for performance testing initiatives.

Good to Have Skills: -

• Domain experience in healthcare, especially payer/provider/device ecosystems
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, SRE practices, and performance SLAs/SLOs
• Exposure to AI/ML use cases in performance anomaly detection and auto-scaling
• Familiarity with containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker) and service mesh
• Dashboarding using Google Lighthouse, InfluxDB
• Vendor and stakeholder management
