Position Overview

Lead Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of testers across manual and automated testing efforts.
• Define and implement test strategies, plans, and processes to ensure product quality.
• Oversee test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
• Review and improve test automation frameworks; guide scripting best practices.
• Coordinate with development, product, and QA teams to ensure seamless testing integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor and report key QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and tools.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience

  in software testing, with at least

  2 years in a lead role

  .
• Expertise in both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency with automation tools such as

  Selenium

  ,

  TestNG

  ,

  QTP

  , etc.
• Experience with

  API testing

  tools like

  Postman

  ,

  SoapUI

  , or similar.
• Strong understanding of

  SDLC

  , Agile methodologies, and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Solid scripting/programming knowledge in
