Senior Software Tester

As a Senior Software Tester at TRU IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards in software development. Your responsibilities will include: - Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure software quality. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing strategies. - Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. - Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Ensure adherence to QA best practices, industry standards, and SDLC processes. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot issues. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks. - Mentor and guide junior QA team members. Qualifications required for this position include: - 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. - Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle. - Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cypress). - Proficiency in SQL, API testing (Postman, REST Assured), and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git, Jenkins. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex software systems. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in Agile environments.
