Job Description

Creates high quality working applications for Android. 10+ years of required Android development experience in Java/Dart/Flutter.
6-to-8 years of Hands-on experience in developing native Android applications. Knowledge of Flutter, DART is a strong plus.

Understanding of Android design patterns, memory management, file I/O, concurrency, and multithreading.
Knowledge of working with APIs, external libs, SDKs, UI, visualizations animations
Working knowledge and hands-on with Database management such as SQL.
Experience in Unit Testing and TDD practices. Usage of Junit/Mockito/Espresso kind of test frameworks
Published one or more applications in an Android marketplace and knowledge on the process of making the app live.
Able to create a UI and UX that would make the app simple to use and delight users.
Able to fix the occurring bugs and iteratively improve the app, include newer features and keep the app up to date with all the Android updates/ libraries that will be released.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to mentor junior developers are required.

Responsibilities

Features driven development in an agile approach
Actively participates in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement. Contributes to continuous improvement of the team, software and processes
Designs, codes, documents, tests (automated), maintains and deploys software
Supports DevOps in deploying software
Sets, monitors and ensures to meet own performance metrics
Defines, monitors and meets performance and quality metrics
Provides technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users, high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, safety and security
Keeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art programming techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
