Job Description

As a software engineer at Google, you will be developing next-generation technologies that impact how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. Your role will involve working on projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. We are looking for individuals who can bring fresh ideas from various domains such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI design, and mobile development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Write and test product or system development code. - Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed. - Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve by analyzing the sources of issues. - Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. - 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products. - 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. - 3 years of experience with iOS application development. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. - 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. - 3 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging. - 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. - Experience developing accessible technologies. Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google, which is seeking Software Engineers for client-side (web and mobile), server-side (search, storage, serving), and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) roles.
