Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer I/II - Application Support (L3) at Genea, you will be an integral part of our Technology Department, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager. With 3-8 years of experience, you will be based in Ahmedabad, India, working the night shift from 6 PM to 3 AM IST. Genea is a technology company that focuses on providing innovative solutions for commercial real estate operations. Our products are designed to enhance access control, streamline HVAC processes, and optimize submeter billing, ultimately improving efficiency and tenant experience. Your role as an L3 support engineer will involve: - Taking ownership of customer-reported issues, analyzing problems, and providing solutions using your logical and analytical skills. - Asking the right questions to customers to understand reported problems effectively. - Providing L2/L3 support, monitoring production streams, and offering expert knowledge on workflow designs for supported applications. - Getting involved in bug fixing, including working on scripting and data analysis for effective troubleshooting. - Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues. - Following standard procedures for escalating unresolved issues to internal teams. - Providing prompt and accurate feedback to customers within SLA requirements. - Conducting detailed site studies for customer projects" execution feasibility. - Ensuring proper recording and closure of all issues. - Documenting knowledge in the form of tech notes and articles for the knowledge base. - Prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment. Qualifications we look for in a candidate include: - 3-6 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer (L3) with knowledge of Nodejs, Microservice Architecture, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, Queue/Data Streaming Services, react, HTML/CSS, JS, and basic hardware-networking skills. - Proficiency in issue tracking systems like JIRA. - Strong problem-solving skills and excellent client-facing communication abilities. - Proactive, enthusiastic, and loves challenges.
