Senior Software Engineer I, Platform Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer in Platform Engineering at LG Ad Solutions, a global leader in connected TV and cross-screen advertising, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in building and maintaining scalable platform services and tools that support product engineering teams. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will involve implementing solutions that drive efficiency, reliability, and performance across the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include assisting in designing, developing, and maintaining platform components and services to support product engineering teams. You will also contribute to internal frameworks, libraries, and tools to standardize and simplify the platform stack. Additionally, you will develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources. Collaboration with product engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver platform features supporting their needs will be a key aspect of your role. You will also work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies. Setting up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure platform reliability and uptime will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to incident reviews and improvements. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering field, along with 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in platform engineering or infrastructure roles. Proficiency with AWS, experience in managing scalable, high-availability solutions using AWS services, strong programming skills in Go, and understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration are essential. Experience with CI/CD tools, automation workflows, monitoring, logging, incident management tools, relational and NoSQL databases, and security principles for cloud-based applications and infrastructure will be advantageous. Preferred qualifications include experience designing, building, or maintaining IDPs for development teams, exposure to service mesh technologies, familiarity with networking concepts, and experience with programming languages like Typescript, Scala, and Python.
