The Opportunity As a Senior Software Engineer 1 in Platform Engineering, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining scalable platform services and tools that support our product engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that drive efficiency, reliability, and performance across the software development lifecycle. In this role, you ll contribute to technical projects, support junior team members, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position is ideal for an engineer looking to expand their skills in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and system reliability, while collaborating in a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining platform components and services to support product engineering teams. Contribute to internal frameworks, libraries, and tools to standardize and simplify the platform stack. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources. Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver platform features supporting their needs. Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies. Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure platform reliability and uptime. Participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to incident reviews and improvements. Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related engineering field. 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in platform engineering or infrastructure roles. Proficiency with AWS and experience in managing scalable, high-availability solutions using AWS services. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Pulumi, CloudFormation). Strong programming skills in Go. Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). Experience with CI/CD tools and automation workflows (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins). Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and incident management tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty). Understanding of software architecture principles and ability to contribute to HLD and LLD documents. Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis) and database design. Understanding of security principles for cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Ability to write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards improving system reliability and developer experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork. Preferred Experience designing, building, or maintaining IDPs for development teams, enabling self-service environments and CI/CD capabilities. Exposure to service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) and API gateways. Familiarity with networking concepts, DNS, and load balancing. This role requires excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to various audiences, strong analytical abilities to identify risks and opportunities and technical expertise to implement efficient testing methodologies. As a QAE II, you will be a key contributor in driving quality improvements and innovation across the organization. This position is on-site/in office, 5 days a week in the Bangalore office. The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Technical Contract Recruiter to support our growing hiring needs. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment across a variety of technical and some non-technical roles. You ll play a critical part in sourcing, engaging, and closing top-tier engineering talent, while partnering closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders. Our recruitment model includes a blend of in-house, full life cycle recruiting, and the use of staffing agencies during high-volume hiring periods. In the early phase of this role, your focus will be on screening employee referral candidates, confirming compensation expectations, and scheduling interviews for both referral and staffing agency candidates. You ll also be involved in negotiating and extending offers to agency candidates and supporting agency submissions, including addressing inquiries from agency representatives. This position requires a proactive, resourceful recruiter who understands technical requirements, can build strong candidate pipelines, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. While based in Bangalore, some alignment with U.S. working hours will be necessary. We use Ashby for applicant tracking and Modern Loop for interview scheduling.
