Senior Software Engineer I

As a Senior Software Engineer I at Milliman, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical requirements into applications and services managed and supported by EB Admin Technology. Your primary role will involve supporting production defects and enhancing full stack functionality using current technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and ASP.Net stack. Your duties will include understanding UI designs in Figma and translating them into code, mentoring and supporting software developers in adhering to coding standards, designing and implementing calculation libraries for multiple clients, troubleshooting and enhancing existing applications, and maintaining proper documentation of libraries and object structures. You will be expected to perform code reviews, assist in correcting system stability issues, share knowledge with the development team, provide alternative solutions to development issues, and stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in programming methodology. To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with modern UI technologies in a Microsoft stack, proficiency in SQL Server database management systems, XML, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps. You should also have experience in multi-tiered web-based applications, agile SDLC methodologies, and programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core Framework Class Libraries. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills, logical and analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to develop clean, scalable, and high-performance code. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with 5+ years of software development experience, is required for this position. Preferred skills include a willingness to learn Microsoft Blazor, integrity in handling sensitive client data, teamwork abilities, effective planning and priority setting, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.,
