The Sr. Software Engineer role entails advanced software development for Power Systems Applications, with a focus on delivering product functionalities to meet product objectives. Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams working in this area to develop next generation of Software under GridOS umbrella. Person will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Person will Lead design discussions as required to design/build/deliver world class software in Power Systems area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure full-stack applications.
- Lead technical architecture discussions and contribute to strategic technology decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose their adoption where appropriate.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js/Angular/Vue.js (frontend), and Node.js/Java/.NET/Python (backend).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, JUnit).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
