Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Verazer, a SaaS + IoT platform aimed at transforming plantation and agri-enterprise management, you will play a crucial role in architecting the SaaS platform from scratch and setting engineering standards. Your collaboration with the founder and other team members will be instrumental in ensuring the success and scalability of the platform. Key Responsibilities: - Design a scalable SaaS architecture with multi-tenant capabilities, RBAC, and audit logs. - Make informed decisions on the technology stack and infrastructure, utilizing Node.js/TypeScript, Postgres/Mongo, and AWS/GCP. - Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and manage technical debt effectively. - Develop core backend modules such as authentication, data pipelines, and APIs, while also contributing to the frontend using React/Next.js. - Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring for seamless operations. - Ensure security by implementing secure login, access control, and data encryption, alongside managing cloud infrastructure basics. - Collaborate with the founder to translate business workflows into technical specifications and mentor the current engineer and future team members. - Work as a true founding team member, adapting to various roles when necessary to drive the success of the platform. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a full-stack/backend engineer. - Demonstrated experience in building or scaling a SaaS product. - Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD). - Knowledge of RBAC, security best practices, and audit trails. - Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical direction. - Bonus: Experience with real-time systems, IoT data, or agri-tech will be advantageous.
