Job Description

Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using Golang and Python.
Lead the delivery of end-to-end projects, from conceptual design through deployment, ensuring high standards.
Own key deliverables within the Division's Quarterly Roadmap, defining milestones and driving projects to successful completion.
Ensure system SLOs/SLAs for latency, availability, throughput, and correctness, instrumenting services with tracing, metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
Provide expert technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability and performance.
Align teams around key projects, de-risk complex initiatives, and ensure seamless execution across the Division.

Job Requirements

Minimum 6 years of industry experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with demonstrated impact building and operating production-grade Go and/or Python services at scale.
Strong understanding of Golang and its ecosystem, as well as Python and REST frameworks.
Practical experience with streaming/messaging systems (Kafka / Kinesis / Pulsar) and stream processing frameworks or equivalents.
Familiarity with AWS services and deployment practices.
Proficiency in containerization using Docker or similar technologies.
Solid understanding of database systems and SQL proficiency.
Excellent system design and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
