Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Plan and execute test cases using various testing techniques and methodologies.
• Conduct API automation testing using RestAssured, BDD, and Cucumber frameworks.
• Apply testing phases, entry/exit criteria, and produce required artifacts at each phase.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
• Manage version control using GIT and participate in CI/CD pipelines with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Mentor and guide junior SDET team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, BDD standards, and software quality benchmarks.
• Continuously monitor, report, and improve testing processes to meet high-quality standards.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts
• Expertise in API automation testing using RestAssured and BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Deep understanding of OOP concepts, concurrent programming, design patterns, and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and integration testing
• Experience with version control using GIT and DevOps practices including CI/CD tools like Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Ability to plan, execute, and manage test cases throughout different phases of software development
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for quality assurance
• Experience mentoring junior team members and fostering knowledge sharing
• Hands-on experience working in Agile teams, following BDD standards and best practices
