Job Description

Major Responsibilities

The Senior Software Development Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of key software deliverables, from understanding business requirements and planning activities to developing code and proactively managing risks. We expect your work to demonstrate a strong technical background and a commitment to writing concise, scalable code. You will collaborate with fellow engineers to share knowledge, design, develop, test, and deploy software. Additionally, you will help coordinate with development partners to ensure features are released on time and within budget. You will modify existing software to fix errors or enhance performance when necessary.

You will provide leadership and adhere to standards and best practices for software development and developer productivity . You will maintain long-term client relationships and networks.

About the role-

Must have 2 years of experience building applications/platforms with cloud native/microservice architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.
Must have 3 years of experience with modern collaborative development tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines)

Actively contribute to the evolution of processes and standards. Lead improvement efforts.
Promote more effective use of productivity tools.
Follow Agile development methodologies and mentor team members in this area.

About you -

6-8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript with Node.js frameworks
Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and one or more NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar); strong SQL skills and data modelling.
Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
CI/CD practices and tooling (GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of security best practices, such as OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, TLS, secrets management, and least privilege (IAM).
Strong testing culture: unit/integration/e2e testing, contract testing (JUnit, Jest, Testcontainers, Pact).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and system design skills.
