Senior Software Backend Engineer

Role Overview: Salesforce is looking for software developers who are passionate about making a positive impact through their code. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented engineers to create innovative features for customers while maintaining the stability and scalability of the CRM platform. Your role will involve architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Build new components using cutting-edge technologies to enhance scalability and efficiency. - Develop high-quality code for millions of users on the cloud platform. - Design and implement robust APIs and features related to API frameworks that can perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment. - Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing. - Develop efficient components and algorithms in a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment. - Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to the team based on seniority level. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in multiple programming languages and platforms. - 5 to 8 years of experience in software development. - Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.JS, and C++. - Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and non-relational databases like Postgres, Trino, Redshift, and Mongo. - Experience in developing SAAS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Proven track record in designing and developing distributed systems at scale. - Knowledge of software development best practices and leadership skills. - Degree or equivalent relevant experience required, with evaluation based on core competencies for the role.
