Job Description Oracle DBA with good exp in Oracle Database monitoring, Debugging and Analyze DB related issues, perform RCA, Database backup & hanlde oncall support for Oracle DB Issues. Role & responsibilities NP : Immediate/15 Days Only R oles & Responsibilities Play lead technical role in maintaining or modifying database(s) in production. Track system availability, uptime, and performance. Confer with less experienced DBAs and guide their efforts in maintaining databases. • Confer with application development staff or project management staff regarding project planning, resource allocation, task definitions and schedules for substantial projects involving database(s). • Plan and design database changes necessary for data conversion, tool configuration, data refresh or migration or other initiatives related to large application development project. • Will lead a small team of junior DBAs who are responsible to upkeep the databases across multiple tiers. • Responsible for Oracle RAC DBs, Clustered Mongo DBs and other Virtual DBs (EE and Std) editions instances across multiple application owners. • Become an interface to Engineering team to help them understand and resolve the DB related issues. • Responsible for the tools that help DB performance and overall upkeep of the DBs, responsible to setup service level alarms using SNMP/OEM. • Ability maintain service related KPIs on the Databases. • The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. • Part of the cloud migration efforts for DBs as and when needed from Engineering teams. • Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end users specialized role. • Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views • Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required • Troubleshoot or confer with others troubleshooting errors or production problems involving databases to determine causes and proposed solutions. • Set and document standards for use of databases with objectives of data integrity, data security, efficient operation, audit requirements, and the like. • Communicate to others in development or database administration roles. Confer with managers in networking, systems operations, applications, and client/user community to maintain stable and efficient operating environment for database(s). • Provide technical lead, project leadership or staff supervision in large development, migration, testing, acceptance or product rollout project.
