Senior Software Architect

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Architect at DAZN, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable microservices for a modern, scalable, and resilient platform dedicated to streaming live events. You will have the autonomy to make architectural decisions and collaborate with architects and software engineers to deliver a compelling user experience. Your responsibilities will include sharing knowledge, mentoring software engineers, and contributing to feature implementation, demonstrating your expertise in backend system design and architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices for the platform. - Collaborate with architects and software engineers to deliver a compelling user experience. - Deliver maintainable, robust, and testable code. - Share knowledge and collaborate with other developers across the business. - Mentor software engineers in design patterns and coding standards. - Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and review designs. - Conduct proof of concepts to demonstrate proposed design and architecture. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in design/architecture of complex backend systems, preferably using Node.js and AWS. - Ability to produce architecture/design based on complex and vague requirements. - Proficiency in explaining design/architecture to team members and guiding/mentoring them during implementation. - Hands-on experience in coding and contributing to feature implementation.
