Senior Site Engineer

This is not a typical site engineer role. Its a rare chance to join a developer at the ground stage of a real estate project seeing everything from approvals to execution. The site engineer will work closely with the promoter and consultants, gaining direct exposure to how real real-estate decisions are made, not just how instructions are executed.

The role offers high ownership in execution and quality control. This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building order, setting site discipline, and taking responsibility for getting things done correctly rather than simply following checklists.

Key Responsibilities;

1. Site Execution & Engineering Control

• Coordinate daily with civil contractors, subcontractors, and bar-bending/shuttering teams.
• Plan daily and weekly work in coordination with the contractor.
• Identify execution risks early and flag them to the developer and consultants.

2. Quality Control

• Implement and enforce quality checklists for RCC, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing, and finishing works.
• Check reinforcement, shuttering, embeds, sleeves, and openings before every concrete pour.
• Ensure proper cube testing, material testing, curing practices, and record keeping.

3. Coordination with Structural Engineer

• Interpret structural drawings correctly and clarify doubts proactively.
• Prepare site queries and RFIs for the structural engineer where required.
• Ensure all structural instructions are implemented accurately on site.

4. Measurement, Records & Reporting

• Maintain site registers: cube tests, pour cards, material inspection, snag lists.
• Support measurement and certification of contractor bills.
• Maintain photo documentation and progress records.
• Assist in preparing as-built information.

5. Safety & Site Discipline

• Enforce basic site safety practices for labour and subcontractors.
• Ensure housekeeping, access control, and orderly material stacking.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in RCC residential buildings (multi-storey).
• Very good understanding of reinforcement detailing, shuttering systems, and concrete works.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and service drawings.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and site testing protocols.
• Ability to document issues and follow up until closure.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Diploma holders acceptable with 8 - 10 years of strong site execution experience.
• Minimum 5 - 8 years experience on residential projects.
