About the Role

M2P Fintech is looking for Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance DevOps strategies. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and mentor cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for shaping the DevOps roadmap, driving automation, and ensuring operational excellence in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability. As part of a cross functional team, you will be working in a fast-paced and agile work environment delivering quality and innovative solutions that have immediate business impact. You will take the challenges and ownership that comes while developing a complex system. You will actively mentor junior engineers and guide them in top development practices and maintain a high-quality codes. You will also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

What Will You Do in this Role

1. Architecture & Strategy

• Define and evolve the enterprise-wide DevOps architecture and tooling strategy.
• Design scalable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and observability frameworks.
• Lead cloud-native transformation and container orchestration strategies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

2. Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as a technical advisor and mentor to DevOps engineers and software teams.
• Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to align on best practices.
• Drive adoption of DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement.

3. Automation & Tooling

• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Champion infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems are in place (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

4. Cloud & Infrastructure

• Architect and manage multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies are implemented.
• Optimize cost, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure.

5. Governance & Compliance

• Establish DevSecOps practices and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Define policies for access control, secrets management, and audit logging.

What Youll Need to be Successful in this Role

• B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or any equivalent degree.

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles, with atleast 2+ years in an architectural or leadership capacity.

• Deep expertise in CI/CD, cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure automation.

• A deep understanding of cloud, virtualization and container (Kubernetes) platforms, infrastructure automation (Terraform) and application hosting technologies.

• Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).

• Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.

• Experience working with server virtualisation, IaaS and PaaS cloud, Infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools

• Good problem-solving skills, coupled with strong analytical thinking and communication.

• Multi-tasking, prioritizing/ effective time management and eye for detail would be key skills required for this role.

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.

• Previous experience in Banking or Fintech or related field is a plus.
