Job Description

As a Sales Executive in the International Freight Forwarding industry, your primary responsibility will be to strategically position profitable solutions with new customers, focusing on both domestic and International freight products and services. You will be expected to generate sales from new and existing customers in order to achieve sales targets set by the company. One of your key tasks will be to build density in foreign markets such as Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East as the company expands its offerings in these regions. Therefore, having specific knowledge of international and domestic freight forwarding, gateway operations, and staying up-to-date on market trends is crucial for success in this role. You should be able to independently generate new sales revenue for a designated geographic region and develop strategies for cold calling, qualifying leads, and effectively connecting with potential business partners. Creating and implementing a sales plan strategy that aligns with monthly sales goals and initiatives will be essential. Utilizing internal tools to negotiate market freight rates for customers and providing the highest level of customer service to internal and external partners are key aspects of this role. Additionally, account management to retain and grow the current client base, while maintaining knowledge of the company's specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements, will be part of your responsibilities. Expanding and cultivating the company's carrier and agent network, as well as developing new partner relationships, will be crucial in driving business growth. Promoting, monitoring, and engaging employees to exceed metrics and organizational goals, and coordinating efforts with Sales and Logistics Account Executives for maximum visibility of the international service portfolio will also be part of your duties. To be successful in this role, you should have 8-12 years of sales experience in International Freight Forwarding, with a focus on high volume accounts. Prior experience in International Operations is recommended. You should possess knowledge and understanding of international freight forwarding, domestic and gateway operations, and have the ability to independently develop new business opportunities. Strong communication, relationship management, negotiation skills, and the ability to strategically analyze and pursue growth opportunities are essential.
