Senior Resident –Anaesthesiology

HOD – Anaesthesiology

II. JOB PURPOSE

•         To provide & ensure direct or indirect accurate medical attention to all cases needing anesthesia before any surgical procedure. To provide high quality Pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and Post-operative anesthesia care in the hospital.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To effectively interface with patients, technicians, nursing staff and service users.
• To demonstrate effective application of technical &    professional knowledge.      
• To ensure pre, INTRA and post-operative care of all the cases done in the unit. 
• To be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the I.C.U
• To supervise all nursing/ para-medical & non-medical staff to maintain high standards.
• To actively participate in CME and Journal clubs & conferences.
• To co-ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and 
• maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured
• To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. Nurses, Technicians, 
• I.C.U. staff.
• To ensure optimum utilization of resources by himself and subordinates
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital. 
• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational  
• issues & policies of the respective area
• To Comply with patient safety policy
• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal   system.

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Total support to OT – Operation
• Nil incidence in hospital borne infection in OT & Critical Care Anesthesia
• No surgery to be postponed due to non-availability of anesthetist.
• 100% statutory compliance
• TATs as per NABH & IMS guidelines.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

•     MD – Anesthesia

Experience

•     Relevant Experience and job knowledge

Language Skills

• English / Hindi
