Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in Press Shop operations, specializing in sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing and quality assurance, with a focus on defect prevention, process control, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Control

• Monitor and control quality parameters in the Press Shop for sheet metal components.
• Conduct in-process inspections and final audits to ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

• Documentation & Standards

• Maintain and update quality documentation including control plans, work instructions, and inspection reports.
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant automotive standards.

• Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 7 QC tools, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to enhance process capability and reduce rejection rates.

• Customer & Supplier Interaction

• Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Coordinate with suppliers for incoming quality and material conformance.

• Tool & Equipment Management

• Ensure calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Support tooling validation and capability studies (CP, CPK, MSA).

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
• 48 years of experience in Quality Assurance within Press Shop (Sheet Metal) in the automotive sector.
• Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
