Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Viamagus is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer-1 for its Life Sciences SaaS Operations team in India, responsible for creating and executing test automation for browser-based enterprise applications, including web and API testing. Candidates should have 4-7 years of QA experience, proficiency in automated testing frameworks, Agile methodologies, SQL, and test management tools, with strong communication skills and a background in computer science or equivalent qualifications.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer 1

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute maintainable automated test scripts

  for web applications using

  Playwright, Selenium

  , and other tools to validate

  acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.

• Develop and maintain API test automation using tools like

  Postman, REST Assured,

  or built-in Playwright utilities.
• Integrate automated test suites into the

  CI/CD pipeline

  (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to support continuous testing.
• Use

  GitHub Copilot

  or similar

  AI-based assistants

  to improve development efficiency and consistency in test code.
• Perform Web, API, functional, regression, load, and end-to-end testing automated, and manual as needed.
• Write and/or modify SQL queries to perform database validations.
• Experience testing software in an Agile development environment and continuous integration, highly desired.
• Must be well versed in testing complex enterprise software.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation and a distinguished track record on highly technical projects.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java)
• Experience with

  Playwright

  (preferred) and/or

  Selenium WebDrive

• Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  to drive context-aware automation logic and intelligent test orchestration is a plus
• Good understanding of

  BDD frameworks

  and

  ability to write feature files

  and

  step definitions.

• Experience with REST API testing and related tools/libraries.
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD integration, version control systems (Git), and test execution

  in pipeline environments
• Excellent communication skills, both

  verbal and written

  , and attention to detail.
• Firm understanding of

  quality engineering and Agile/Scrum practices, processes and techniques.

• Experience with

  test case management tools

  , such as

  Jira or Zephyr

• Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Minimum Qualification: BE/BTech or ME/MTech.
