As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a global technology company based in Pune, India, your primary role will involve conducting software quality assurance activities on both on-premise and cloud platforms. Working closely with cross-functional teams, your responsibilities will include ensuring comprehensive testing coverage, tracking defects, and providing support for releases. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform testing on cloud and on-prem environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Develop, execute, and maintain test cases focusing on functionality, reliability, and performance. - Provision and configure compute resources like EC2 instances or VMs, and oversee networking tasks. - Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware/Hyper-V, involving VM creation and configuration via vCenter. - Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, execute common commands, and assist in replication. - Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to guarantee adequate test coverage and resolve defects efficiently. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Proficient in Python (mandatory), Selenium (mandatory), and Golang for programming and scripting tasks. - Thorough understanding of OOPs concepts, Python data types (lists, tuples, etc.). - Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), OS booting process, and VM troubleshooting. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and managing containerized workloads. - Preferred background in NetBackup. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
