Job Summary Senior Software Engineer will translate complex functional requirements into system requirements while developing applications for First American. These are typically web-based applications developed by adhering to coding standards and guidelines, following a continuous Build-Integrate-Test (Agile) approach. The role will engage with stakeholders to convert business requirements into a viable blueprint. The Senior Software Engineer will understand the software development lifecycle and have knowledge of the overall application development space combined with understanding of the business and domain. The role will build code for assigned modules and features using available stacks and programming languages, apply standard troubleshooting and debugging concepts to achieve speed and efficiency, and review code to suggest enhancements. The Senior Software Engineer will understand Agile manifesto and ceremonies, design and develop basic DB solutions, establish database objects, and perform performance tuning. The role will work with Configuration Management tools to enforce CM practices and processes, adhere to QA standards, and work with a deep understanding of performance bottlenecks, production infrastructure, interfaces, and dependencies of the product.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Writing clean, secure, scalable, and efficient code.
- Debugging and troubleshooting issues in existing applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Integrating with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
- Ensuring software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Documenting software components and technical specifications.
Technical Skills
- Experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications using .NET Core and AWS.
- Experience in AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS.
- Knowledge of AI and Python is good to have
- Strong notion of security best practices (e.g., KMS, IAM).
- Proficiency in SDLC and Agile methodologies including requirement analysis, prototyping, designing, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Experience working with REST API and Microservices-based architecture.
- Experience in database services like SQL Server, AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS & Next.js.
- Solid experience in developing unit test cases (with mocking frameworks), functional & integration testing using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices for SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.

Educational Qualification and Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of formal education - Graduate / Post Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology
Professional work experience of 4 to 6 years in QA Automation Testing
