Role & responsibilities Job Title: Senior Python Software Engineer - Experience Level: 7-10 Years Industry: Software Development / AI & Cloud Infrastructure Reports To: Engineering Manager / Technical Lead Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Python Software Engineer to join our backend engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Python development, strong familiarity with FASTAPI, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. You will work on cutting-edge GenAI agentic systems, containerized microservices, and telemetry-enabled applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services using FASTAPI. Implement reusable, modular code using object-oriented principles and design patterns. Extend FASTAPI functionality through custom classes, decorators, and plugins. Ensure secure API development with proper authentication, authorization, and inter-service communication. Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to Kubernetes environments. Build and manage agents using LangChain or LangGraph, including callback handling and telemetry integration. Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Apply asynchronous programming techniques to build performant, event-driven systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Must-Have Qualifications 710 years of professional experience in Python development. Strong understanding of Pythons object-oriented features, decorators, and packaging. Proficiency in applying design patterns such as Factory, Adapter, Faade, and Iterator. Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration. Proficient in developing and maintaining FASTAPI applications, including secure authentication flows. Familiarity with LangChain or LangGraph for agent creation and telemetry integration. Solid understanding of async/await patterns and concurrency in Python. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with other agentic frameworks such as OpenAI API, Autogen, or Google ADK. Exposure to MCP (Multi-Channel Processing) server architecture or willingness to learn. Knowledge of telemetry data pipelines, log processing, or distributed tracing systems.
