Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python programming, PySpark, and hands-on experience with AWS services including EMR, SageMaker, and OpenSearch. This role demands excellent problem-solving abilities and a solid academic background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Build and deploy machine learning models using AWS SageMaker.
• Work with large-scale data processing on AWS EMR.
• Implement and manage search solutions using AWS OpenSearch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust

solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues.

Primary Skills:

• 5 - 9 years of professional experience in software/data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Proven experience with AWS services: EMR, SageMaker, OpenSearch.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing and data processing frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Secondary Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data lake architectures and data governance.
• Exposure to MLOps and model lifecycle management.
