Senior Python Developer (FastAPI & PostgreSQL)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI and Python.

Architect and optimize relational database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL for high performance and scalability.

Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms.

Integrate external APIs and services and manage asynchronous tasks (Celery, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with proper documentation.

Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices, and mentor junior developers as needed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong proficiency in Python 3.x.

Hands-on expertise with FastAPI framework.

Deep understanding of PostgreSQL (indexing, optimization, stored procedures, partitioning).

Experience with ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy or Tortoise ORM.

Solid knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await) and concurrency patterns.

Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerized deployments.

Understanding of REST principles, API versioning, and best practices for scalable backend systems.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.

Good to Have (Optional):

Experience with Redis, Kafka, Celery, or other message queues.

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools.

Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Pytest, Unittest).

Education:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
