Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sourcing and Purchasing:

    • Source and procure goods and services based on company needs, ensuring cost-efficiency and quality standards.
    • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate procurement records.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  2. Vendor Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
    • Identify and evaluate new potential suppliers to expand procurement options.
    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
  3. Negotiation and Contracting:

    • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
    • Assist in the development and management of supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
    • Track contract expirations and ensure timely renewals or renegotiations.
  4. Cost Management and Reporting:

    • Monitor procurement budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory status.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for all purchases, supplier agreements, and related transactions.
    • Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting of purchases.
  6. Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with the operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
    • Assist in resolving any issues related to product availability, quality, or delivery delays.
    • Support the procurement manager with administrative tasks and special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems( SAP )
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, regulations, and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • The role may require occasional travel for vendor visits and meetings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
