Senior Project Engineer-Electromechanical Design - HVDC

As an Electromechanical Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in the Primary engineering of HVDC converter station, Installation drawings, and detail design of yard materials to ensure the safety of the end equipment and HVDC station as a whole. Your responsibilities include: - Understanding technical requirements and ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information, incorporating all multidisciplinary information. - Leading the development of new solutions for complex projects, driving the completion of all engineering activities, and coordinating engineering disciplines across multiple projects. - Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. - Preparing comprehensive project documents within your area of responsibility and acting as a design authority for Electromechanical engineering discipline. - Providing cost-effective quality solutions, delivering within budget and contract, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and mitigating potential risks. - Interacting directly with customers, officials, contractors, and the supply chain to ensure project success and compliance with regulations and guidelines. Your background should ideally meet the following qualifications: - A bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 8-12 years of work experience in Design of Primary Layout of Electrical UHV/EHV substation projects. - HVDC experience is preferred. - Experience working with advanced 3D CAD tools, knowledge of process structuring & process management. - Knowledge & Skills in NX/Teamcenter or Similar 3D tools, Substation Engineering of UHV/EHV substation projects, PLM Tools. - Knowledge & Experience in MS Office: Word, Excel. - Self-starter with the ability to own tasks through to completion, strong attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
