Senior Professional - Insurance Finance (Investment accounting)

As a member of the KKR Insurance Finance team, your role will involve supporting the accounting for strategic investments, specifically focusing on real estate and renewable energy. Your responsibilities will include: - Working cross-functionally to recognize and record complex new investment transactions such as acquisitions and dispositions in renewable energy and real estate. - Conducting monthly investment and suspense reconciliations, including ledger and TPA statements for various subsidiaries on a GAAP basis. - Performing month-end and quarter-end closing procedures, including analytical reviews of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) financial statements. - Ensuring control functions are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and NAIC Model Audit Rule. - Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports with analysis of investment results. - Overseeing and monitoring activity in each assigned SPV. - Conducting ad hoc analysis and assisting with special projects as required. - Collaborating with functional teams, including Auditors, for requests and monitoring of investments. Qualifications required for this role include: - Preferred qualification of a Qualified Chartered Accountant or an advanced degree in Finance. - 4-6 years of relevant experience in the field. - Background in renewable energy and real estate investment accounting is strongly preferred. - Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of US GAAP and Statutory accounting principles related to investments. - Familiarity with complex transactions, internal securitizations, and SPVs. - Strong analytical skills and familiarity with investment accounting systems. - Experience with subledger implementations is preferred. - Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Excel. - Pro-active, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and possess excellent documentation skills. - Results-oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment with limited direct supervision. - Solid written and oral communication skills. - Proven ability to successfully handle competing priorities and multiple deliverables.,
