Senior Process Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of process designers, including assigning tasks, setting goals, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development among team members.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure effective teamwork and project delivery.

• Develop and review process design deliverables, including PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and process equipment specifications.

• Perform quality assurance reviews of process design deliverables to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications. • Identify and mitigate design risks and issues, implementing appropriate corrective actions as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and construction, to ensure seamless integration of process designs with overall project requirements.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to address design-related inquiries, provide technical support, and resolve design-related issues. • Participate in design review meetings, project progress meetings, and technical presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in process design within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.

• Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim), process design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CADWorx), and related engineering software.

• Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations, such as API, ASME, and ISO, as they apply to process design in the oil and gas sector.

• Proficiency in using process design software for developing PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
