As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will be utilizing your B.E./B. Tech- Mechanical qualification and 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals sector. Your responsibilities will include operating PV-Elite tools and overseeing draftsman working on ATOCAD. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with various ASME, API & IBR codes and standards. - Conduct Pipe Stress analysis (Static & Dynamic) of Critical Piping Systems in line with ASME B31.3 Code Requirements, utilizing CAESAR II software. - Knowledge of Stress Analysis for Compressor, Pumps, Air coolers piping system is preferred. - Carry out tasks such as flange leakage checks, blast analysis, transit analysis, slug checks, wind and seismic analysis. - Design and select pipe supports, springs hangers & Expansion joints while ensuring compliance with ASME, API & IBR codes and standards. - Perform valve take off from P&IDs and review Piping isometrics take-offs. - Track all Design changes effectively and manage surplus/needs. - Monitor material requirements and adjust material delta requisitions. - Compile requisition packages with all applicable documents. - Design and select Piping Material Specification for Piping Systems. - Prepare Piping Line Class Specifications and review Isometric and Piping Spool. - Create Piping BOM, Pipe Wall Thickness Calculations, Valve Material Specifications, and MR (Material Requisition) for Getting Quotations. - Review Vendor offers, conduct technical discussions with vendors, and prepare TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation). - Prepare Material Requisition for Purchase and Qualify Vendor Documents Review. - List Piping Specialty Items like Steam Traps, Strainers, Hoses, etc. and prepare Valve Data Sheets. - Create Data Sheets for the Piping Specialty Items and perform Line Blank Thickness Calculation. - Possess knowledge in Material Grades ASTM, ASME, API, etc., and Testing and Inspection Requirements for Piping Components and Valves Compliance with Specifications and Industrial Quality Standards. - Coordinate with Civil/Structural & Mechanical groups to ensure effective communication of loads. - Evaluate reinforcement at pipe supports and branch connections, prepare project piping support specification & Design Basis, and carry out Procurement Engineering within the stipulated time frame of the project. - Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, third party consultants, etc., to ensure timely review of documents and make comments with the required quality level.
