Senior Piping Engineer

As a Senior Piping Engineer at McDermott, your role involves using best practices and expertise to enhance the Piping discipline within the organization. You will serve as a valuable resource for colleagues, providing guidance and sharing your knowledge related to Piping. Your responsibilities will include solving complex problems, improving products and services, and ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies. Key Responsibilities: - Perform conceptual, FEED, or detailed design analysis according to project requirements, design codes, and standards - Lead Engineering team on small projects - Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and procedures - Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets - Communicate complex issues clearly and establish understanding - Identify scope changes and deviations, and raise notifications promptly - Liaise with various departments and stakeholders for input and coordination - Support 3D-Model reviews at different project stages - Prepare design documents, specifications, and material requisitions - Act as a mentor for colleagues with less experience Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering - 8-15 years of experience in oil and gas industry with a focus on detail design - Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society - Willingness to travel for business purposes - Thorough knowledge of Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design Phases - Proficiency in design techniques, standards, codes, and guidelines - Familiarity with Piping Sub-Disciplines, stress analysis, material engineering, and MTO activities - Project coordination and execution skills - Conversant with international codes and standards such as ANSI, ASME, API, BS, NFPA - Experience with software like SP3D, E3D, Navisworks - Familiarity with stick-built and modularization approaches Lutech Resources, with over 25 years of experience, provides tailored recruitment and resource management services to leading companies in the Engineering, Energy, and Manufacturing sectors globally.
