Description
As a Senior Analyst, Performance Engineer at our company, you will have numerous opportunities for career progression within the business. You will be an integral part of one of multiple squads, collaborating closely with SRE Leads, Developers, and Quality Engineers to apply shift left thinking that maximizes non-functional test coverage during development. The role will involve working across both non-production and production dimensions, ensuring that live operational understanding is incorporated into new developments. At times, occasional out-of-hours work may be required for production-related changes or consulting purposes. Your main responsibilities will include: - Working in a Shift-Left test model by providing non-functional test acceptance criteria to Developers before story development commences - Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Solution Engineers to capture non-functional requirements effectively in the early stages of major initiatives - Updating and maintaining documentation for non-Functional requirements across all microservices & workflows - Collaborating with Dev leads and Solution Designers in design reviews to ensure non-functional needs are incorporated in the solution design early on - Creating and updating application performance monitoring and alerting dashboards for production and non-production environments - Developing Splunk/AppD Dashboard capabilities to monitor performance issues related to dependent services - Providing tuning guidance & recommendations to other developers to achieve better performance and resilience - Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members in non-functional engineering and suggesting best practices Your skills and experience should include: - Technology and tool experience in Java, Kafka, API, JSON, XML, Cucumber, SQL, Rest, GitHub, Gatling, Postman, JMeter, Jenkins, AppD, and more - Experience in software development and quality engineering in multiple environments - Experience coaching integrated teams to ensure systems are designed for reliability, performance, security, and testability - Organizational skills with a focus on Agile/Scrum practices - Interest and experience with the entire application stack, from network and security to application code At our company, we offer generous compensation and benefits, exciting career and development opportunities, and a professional and engaging working environment.
