Senior Oracle DBA

Role Overview: As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will join the Infrastructure DBA team in Global Technology Operations. Reporting to and closely working with the Database Manager, you will assist on various crucial tasks. Your role will involve being the subject matter expert for Oracle technologies within the DBA team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting predominantly Oracle products. Additionally, you will help customers make the best use of the technology. Your expertise in MySQL and any other NoSQL DBMS would be advantageous. You may also work on Microsoft SQL servers (2008, 2012, and 2014). Mentoring fellow DBAs will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the SME for Oracle technologies within the DBA team - Install, maintain, and support predominantly Oracle products - Troubleshoot and resolve database application issues across different environments - Provide input into architecture and design - Work on Microsoft SQL servers - Mentor fellow DBAs Qualification Required: - At least 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle10g, 11i, 12c, MySQL, MS SQL RDBMS in Unix/Linux/Windows environment - Expertise in replication tools like Data Guard, high availability systems like DataGuard standby and RAC, and database backup/recovery tools like RMAN - Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager - At least 3 years of hands-on experience in MySQL administration in a Linux environment, MySQL replication, and Microsoft SQL servers (2008, 2012) administration Additional Company Details: The company operates in the IT/Computers-Hardware industry and the role falls under the Oracle DBA category.
