Job Description

Responsibilities

Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g 19c) in development, test, and production environments.
Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks (I/O, memory, CPU, network), and tune SQL/PLSQL queries.
Implement and maintain
backup/recovery strategies using RMAN
, and conduct disaster recovery drills to meet RTO/RPO targets.
Configure and manage
Oracle RAC
,
Data Guard
, and high-availability solutions.
Ensure database security through
TDE encryption
, auditing, and compliance with GDPR/HIPAA.
Collaborate with DevOps, CloudOps, and application teams for database design, provisioning, and CI/CD integration.
Maintain documentation, standards, and provide mentorship to junior DBAs.
Participate in
24/7 on-call rotation
for critical incident response.

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated mastery in Oracle DBA roles, showcasing exceptional technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and proven capabilities. Expertise in Oracle versions
11g, 12c, 18c, 19c

Strong skills in
SQL/PLSQL tuning
, index/partition management, and database parameter optimization.
Proficiency in
RMAN
, performance tuning tools, and Oracle security best practices.
Experience in
high-availability, multi-site production environments
.
Familiarity with
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, OCI) and on-premises infrastructure.
Exceptional problem-solving prowess, meticulous documentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity, recognizing that talent emerges through diverse experiences and continuous learning.

Exposure to
