As a Senior Nurse in the Operation Theater Department, your key responsibilities will include:

  Surgical Patient Care Coordination (Pre, Intra, Post-operative):

    Oversee and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures from pre-operative assessment through to post-operative recovery within the OT.

  
  
  • 
    

    Ensure all necessary patient documentation, consent forms, and pre-surgical preparations are complete and accurate.

  
  
  • 
    

    Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and overall condition throughout the surgical procedure, escalating concerns to the surgical team as necessary.

  Operating Room Management & Sterility:

  
  
  • 
    

    Act as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse as required, ensuring the surgical field is sterile and equipment is prepared and readily available.

  
  
  • 
    

    Manage and account for all surgical instruments, sponges, and sharps to prevent retained foreign objects.

  
  
  • 
    

    Oversee adherence to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the Operation Theatre environment.

  
  
  • 
    

    Ensure all OT equipment is functioning correctly, maintained, and prepared for use.

  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Leadership & Mentorship:

    Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior Staff Nurses and other OT personnel.

  
  
  • 
    

    Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff within the Operation Theater.

  Team Collaboration & Communication:
