Nursing Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in patient hygiene & daily living activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility support.
• Monitor and record vital signs: temperature, pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure; report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Assist in transferring and positioning patients (bed wheelchair, etc.), ensure safe mobility and prevent falls or injuries
• Make beds, change linens, maintain ward cleanliness, ensure the patient environment is hygienic and safe.

• Support admission, transfer and discharge procedures: prepare bedspace, assist with moving patients, handle patient belongings.
• Assist with medical equipment set-up or basic preparations under supervision (e.g., for diagnostic tests).
• Communicate with patients, family members and other staff provide basic emotional support, respond to patient calls, escalate issues.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards (hand hygiene, waste disposal, ward safety).
