Job Summary Synechron is seeking a skilled Senior Mobile Tester to join our dynamic Quality Engineering team. This role is essential in implementing test activities using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and UI Tests for mobile applications, aligning with our Global Test Strategy. As a Mobile Tester, you will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality digital solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives and user expectations. Software Requirements Required: Core JAVA, OOPS concepts Appium for mobile automation testing Cucumber with BDD methodology Experience with IDEs, Android Studio, and Xcode Proficiency with GITHUB for version control Preferred: Knowledge of SWIFT and KOTLIN Overall Responsibilities Implement test activities for mobile applications using BDD and UI testing strategies. Collaborate with cross-POD teams and Quality Engineering teams to ensure test dependencies are addressed. Deliver well-structured, maintainable, and fully tested systems within budget and timelines. Represent Quality Engineering in Scrum meetings, providing a single point of accountability for testing within the POD. Establish effective working relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills. Utilize problem-solving skills to provide solutions and workarounds to avoid delivery delays. Identify and close gaps in the testing process, contributing to efficiency and value addition. Technical Skills (By Category) Programming Languages: Required: Java Preferred: SWIFT, KOTLIN Frameworks and Libraries: Required: Appium, Cucumber Development Tools and Methodologies: Required: Android Studio, Xcode, IDEs, GITHUB, BDD methodology Security Protocols: Preferred: Understanding of secure mobile application testing practices Experience Requirements Proven 10+ years experience in mobile automation testing. Familiarity with BDD and UI testing strategies in Agile environments. Experience working within cross-functional teams. Alternative experience pathways in software testing or development roles are considered valuable. Day-to-Day Activities Design and execute automated tests for mobile applications. Participate in Scrum and project meetings, aligning on testing goals and deliverables. Collaborate with teams to refine testing strategies and address dependencies. Provide QA sign-offs, ensuring high-quality releases. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in mobile testing or Agile methodologies are preferred.
