Role Overview

Mobile Application Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Test Android and iOS mobile applications (functional, UI, regression, compatibility)
  
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios
  
• Identify, document, and track bugs using standard bug-tracking tools
  
• Perform sanity, smoke, and end-to-end testing before releases
  
• Validate API responses using tools like Postman
  
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure quality
  
• Test across multiple device types, OS versions, and screen sizes
  
• Participate in release cycles, ensuring timely and high-quality builds
  
• Provide clear reports on defects, test coverage, and release readiness
  
• Suggest improvements for app performance, usability, and user experience
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in mobile app testing (Android + iOS)
  
• Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies, UI/UX behavior, and app flows
  
• Experience with tools like

  Jira

  ,

  TestRail

  ,

  Postman

  , and device management platforms
• Familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode logs
  
• Ability to perform both manual and basic automation testing (optional bonus)
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  
• Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
  
• Understanding of crash logs, network calls, and app performance metrics
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience testing apps at scale or high-frequency release cycles
  
• Exposure to automation tools (Appium, Espresso, XCTest)
  
• Knowledge of API automation or CI/CD pipelines
