Software Testing Engineer

Role Overview

This is a full-time, onsite role for a Software Test Engineer at Clean Electric Private Limited.

Responsibility:

• Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain automated API test scripts, perform Android application testing using Appium, and execute end-to-end web UI testing with Selenium
• Identify, document, and report software bugs with clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with developers and designers to resolve issues effectively.
• Perform various testing types including regression, sanity, smoke, and functional testing.
• Provide feedback to enhance user experience and product quality.
• Participate in code and test case reviews, ensuring adherence to QA best practices.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.
• Use tools like JIRA for defect tracking and reporting.
• Support and mentor junior QA team members as needed.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in software testing
• Basic understanding of core software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Android, iOS, and web platforms.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Exposure to Agile development processes.
• Experience using testing and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Postman).
• Hands-on experience with testing types such as unit testing, integration testing, load testing, and stress testing.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with Appium and Selenium for Automation testing
