Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) plays a key role in designing, developing, and implementing complex technical solutions. This position involves deep technical expertise, innovation, and leadership in delivering high-quality systems, products, or services. The SMTS is also expected to mentor junior engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate across teams to drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:
- Lead the design and development of complex systems, applications, or components.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices and architectural standards.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to defining technical strategy and roadmap within the assigned domain.
Innovation & Problem Solving:
- Research emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, etc.) to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to define standards and design patterns.
Quality & Performance:
- Ensure software reliability, performance, and security through testing, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to process optimization and technical debt reduction.
