Senior Medical Editor

As a Senior Medical Editor at Syneos Health, you will play a crucial role in editing and ensuring quality control of regulatory documents. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintaining familiarity with FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines to ensure documents meet sponsor and regulatory requirements. - Representing the editorial group in Medical Writing and on study teams as necessary. - Monitoring timelines and budgets for projects and updating relevant stakeholders if necessary. - Providing technical support, mentoring medical editing staff, and advising on data integrity review and publishing standards. - Leading complex medical writing projects, organizing requirements, and ensuring implementation within the team. - Copyediting documents following AMA or custom style guidelines and conducting data integrity reviews. - Contributing to process improvement tools and developing internal policies affecting editorial work. - Managing projects according to standard operating procedures and client standards. Qualifications for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in life sciences, clinical sciences, English/journalism, or relevant experience. - Strong knowledge of editorial and publishing activities within Clinical Development. - Experience in editing and Data QC review of regulatory documents for compliance. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AMA style guide. - Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of medical editing experience and good experience in copyediting or publishing.
