Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center (MEIC) in Hyderabad, you will collaborate with global sustenance and engineering teams to enable Product Development, Medical Devices Design Controls, and sustenance activities. Medtronic, a world leader in providing healthcare products, needs your expertise to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. Here is what a day in your life might look like: **Key Responsibilities:** - Demonstrate expertise in Finite Element Analysis for structural studies using ANSYS or equivalent Prediction Software, including handling non-linear simulations. - Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material properties, and mechanical behavior. - Experience in Mechanism Design and Analysis using Creo-Mechanism module or equivalent software. - Perform engineering calculations and analysis, design plastic and metal components considering DFM, DFA, and Cost. - Expertise in Robust Modeling and Detailing practices following ASME guidelines. - Interact with cross-functional teams, own & lead Predictive engineering activities, provide optimal solutions for design problems, and improve team efficiency. - Work independently with minimal supervision, provide mentorship to junior team members, apply project management skills, possess comprehensive knowledge of product development, and support the Product Development Team by applying relevant medical device standards and regulations. **Must-Have Qualifications:** - Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. - Hands-on experience with Simulation software like Ansys, Creo Simulate, and Creo Mechanism, CAD systems such as Creo, and data management systems like Windchill. - Proficient in Concept Development, Prototyping, Benchmark Testing, and 1D, 2D, and 3D Tolerance Stacks. - Excellent verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams. **Nice to Have:** - PMP Certification, VAVE Certification, GD&T Certification, CFD exposure using Fluent/Ansys ICEPAK.
