Senior Manager Test Environment & Release Automation

As a Senior Manager Test Environment & Release Automation at our company, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating test environments and automating release processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the provisioning and coordination of integrated test environments across multiple applications, utilizing existing infrastructure. - Automating test environment tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, health checks, and sanity validations using tools like Jenkins. - Implementing a structured environment booking system to manage conflicts, support cohabitation, and optimize shared resources. - Collaborating with QA and business teams to understand test needs and automate environment readiness workflows. - Managing daily environment tasks such as health monitoring, data refreshes, batch job scheduling, and stakeholder coordination. - Resolving environment issues in collaboration with infrastructure, DBAs, and development teams, including root cause analysis and mitigation. - Coordinating deployment pipelines with Release Managers and DevOps leads into shared or dedicated environments. - Defining, documenting, and enforcing test environment policies, standards, and governance. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8-12 years of experience in IT, with at least 6 years in Test Environment Management roles. - Hands-on experience in DevOps automation, particularly with Jenkins CI/CD pipeline orchestration. - Expertise in automating environment provisioning, sanity checks, and deployment coordination. - Understanding of configuration management, test dependencies, and version control in complex application landscapes. - Exposure to batch scheduling, test data refresh cycles, and troubleshooting across integrated systems. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with QA, DevOps, Infra, Release, and Application teams. Preferred or Good to Have Skills: - Jenkins scripting and automation pipeline design. - Familiarity with other DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, Docker. - Knowledge of banking/insurance industry workflows. - Experience with Agile delivery model and test planning alignment. Must-Have Skills: - Test Environment Management (TEMS), DevOps Automation, CI/CD Process Integration, Configuration and Batch Management, Test Environment Governance, Jenkins.
