Job Title: Senior Manager, Solar Ingot and wafer Production Integrated PV Manufacturing

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager for Solar Ingot and wafer Production is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective production of Silicon Ingots and wafers. This role involves managing the manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality standards, optimizing production workflows, and leading a team of engineers and operators. The Senior Manager will also collaborate closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the solar Ingot and wafer manufacturing process.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and production staff.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Monitor and evaluate process performance, proposing corrective actions when necessary.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, ISO certifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.

Resource Management:

  • Manage production resources, including raw materials, tools, and equipment, to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Optimize resource utilization and maintain an efficient inventory management system.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Supply Chain, and Sales, to align production schedules with business objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and other relevant metrics for senior leadership.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings and provide input on production-related goals and initiatives.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all production activities comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety training for all staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 18+ years of experience in solar Ingot and wafer manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and quality control.
  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar Ingot and wafer production processes and technologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP, MES, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Other relevant certifications in manufacturing or quality control a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional overtime based on production demands.
  • On-site role with occasional travel for supplier/vendor meetings or other operational needs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and quality.
