The Manager/Senior Manager - People Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR services, with a strong focus on payroll, compliance, audits, HR data analytics, and global mobility. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing HR operations, including exposure to global operations within an Employer of Record (EOR) model. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem-solver, and a hands-on leader with a passion for optimizing processes and enhancing the employee experience.
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across multiple locations, including international payroll through EOR providers.
Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
Manage relationships with vendors and EOR providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Implement and maintain payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Handle complex payroll-related issues and resolve employee inquiries.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations (including GDPR, labor laws, etc.).
Manage internal and external audits related to HR, payroll, and compliance, and ensure successful outcomes.
Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations and advise management on necessary actions.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate and organized employee records.
Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and leave administration, ensuring compliance.
Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports to track key HR metrics, such as turnover, headcount, time to hire, and employee engagement.
Analyze HR data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to management.
Utilize HRIS systems to generate reports and analyze data.
Own all HR tools (implementation, management, optimization).
Manage global mobility programs, including international assignments, relocations, and visa processes, in collaboration with EOR providers.
Ensure compliance with immigration laws, tax regulations, and other legal requirements related to global mobility.
Develop and maintain global mobility policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on global mobility matters.
Manage relationships with global mobility vendors and partners.
Serve as the primary point of contact for HR operations related to employees in an EOR setup.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the company, EOR providers, and employees.
Monitor EOR performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Address employee relations issues in collaboration with EOR providers, ensuring compliance with local laws.
Support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives in international locations through the EOR model.
Mentor a team of HR professionals.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategy.
Participate in other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
12-15 years of progressive HR operations experience, with a strong focus on payroll, compliance, audits, HR data analytics, and global mobility.
In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and international employment regulations.
Proven experience in managing and processing payroll for a large, multi-location organization.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze HR data.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Experience in managing audits.
