Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Handle end-to-end Indirect Taxation and GST compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of GST returns.
Manage GST audits, assessments, notices, and departmental communications effectively.
Monitor, interpret, and implement changes in Indirect Tax and GST laws applicable to the business.
Oversee EOU (Export Oriented Unit) compliance under Customs, GST, and Indirect Tax regulations.
Maintain statutory documentation for duty exemptions, bonded warehouse operations, and export benefits.
Coordinate with DGFT, Customs, and GST authorities for approvals, renewals, and regulatory compliance.
Interpret and apply Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) provisions relevant to the furniture manufacturing sector.
Manage and optimize export incentive schemes such as EPCG, Advance Authorization, and RoDTEP.
Provide indirect tax planning and advisory support to optimize tax liabilities and maximize export benefits.
Prepare monthly MIS reports on indirect tax positions and ensure proper documentation for ITC, export claims, and statutory filings.

Preferred candidate profile

10-15 years of experience in indirect taxation, with strong exposure to
EOU(Export Oriented Unit) operations and FTP.
Proven track record of liaison
with government officials and handling regulatory matters.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
